Silver City --  Silver City Police officers, the Silver City Police Officers Association and town management raised more than $4,000 during the annual "No Shave December" event, in which officers agree to donate for the once-in-a-year opportunity to go to work unshaven. This year the funds paid for 35 turkeys, five hams and 127 new coats for families in need.
