Silver City Community Theatre will hold auditions for the comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, a Christopher Durang play, winner of the 2013 Tony Award, at Little Toad Creek Brewery in the back room at 6pm January 9 and 11.

Characters we are looking for are:

Spike - male, ages 16-30. An up and coming actor, he is Masha’s younger boy toy and a bit of a flirt.

Cassandra - the maid, any age, any gender. She is a bit of a soothsayer, much like the Greek tragedy character, she foretells the future but nobody believes her. Has dialogue in Greek tragedy tradition whichad can be a bit of a challenge.

Nina - female, ages 16-30. An aspiring actress she is sweet and youthful with a generous helping of wisdom thrown in. She is in awe of the older and much successful Masha.
