Caller advised waiting at Chuck's Folly waiting for CYFD to do a welfare check at a residence on Highway 180. Deputy advised with CYFD en route to address on Highway 180/en route back to Cliff Schools.

Criminal damage to property
Camino Azul – Arenas Valley
Caller found a long portion of his fence ran over.

Accident-property damage
E. Highway 180 and Madison Road
Two vehicles/one off the roadway/small white car left. Second caller advised there is damage to the guardrail. DOT was notified and will send someone to check on it.

Battery
Grant County Landfill – Ridge Road
Male driving a white Dodge Ram 2500 just left the landfill/caller advised the driver of the Ram pushed him over the metal guardrail/caller advised he is handicapped/caller is in a green Ford Expedition/there are witnesses.

Tall man walking in the middle of the road.

Vehicle vs javelina/both out of the roadway.

Dead deer on north side of the road/deer removed.

Domestic disturbance
North Hurley Road
Caller advised her cousin just threw a cup of hot noodles on caller's daughter. Second caller advised her cousin threw a cup of hot noodles on her. Deputy advised county units clear/NMSP officer giving (redacted) a ride to SPIN.

Criminal sexual penetration
North Hurley Road
Currently at SASS building. 9-year-old female was assaulted by her brother who is 13 to 14-years-old on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024.

Dog bite

Deputy following dog owner to Humane Society for quarantine period.

Reckless driver
North Hurley Road and Highway 180
Caller advised white car with female driver driving on wrong side of road. Deputy made contact with possibly the vehicle/everything is okay at this time/followed vehicle to county line/everything is okay.

Unwanted subject
Arenas Valley Road
Caller advised her brother lives in a trailer there and two men are refusing to let him in the trailer. Deputy issued two subjects CTWs for this address.

Agua Blanca Street – Hurley
(Redacted) is causing issues/is intoxicated/driving a small blue car headed toward Bayard. Deputy advised en route to a Fahey Street address to do a welcheck/everything is okay.

Wednesday, Jan. 24

Accident-injuries
W. Highway 180 – Mangas Valley
Caller advised a vehicle has rolled over on the side of the road/unknown if anyone is inside/caller had very spotty service/possibly a silver Bronco. Caller called back advising driver is out of the of the vehicle/says he is sore but doesn't need medical/he has a bump.

Fraud/embezzlement
Chamisa Drive – Lower Mimbres
Caller was scammed/he gave the scammer telephone numbers. Deputy referred to FBI website/no money was exchanged.

Larceny
Filaree Road
Caller advised her ex took her glasses and car battery from her car/she has it on camera. Deputy advised gate was locked/attempted contact with caller x 3/negative contact.

Loud music
Shasta Street and W. Highway 180
Deputy made contact at Adobe Techniques/will turn music down.

Hot pursuit
Highway 61 – Lower Mimbres
Speed over 85 – pushing 90/headed east/failure to yield/maroon Pontiac Vibe hatchback/passing the wire/Sierra County was advised. Deputy advised no longer pursuing.

Unattended death
Skyview Drive
Advised named neighbor in backyard deceased/he is about 78-years-old. Contact OMI/have them go to address.
