Washington, D.C. - According to the Labor Department, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) is still near a 40-year high at 8.5 percent. This massive inflation is a stark contrast to a CPI of 1.4 percent when President Biden took office, proving his war on American energy is a root cause of once-in-a-generation spike in prices. The new report arrives days ahead of an expected vote in the House of Representatives for a package that includes an additional $369 billion in corporate welfare aimed at boosting the green agenda.

"Americans are paying the literal price for Joe Biden's man-made energy failure," said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power the Future. "Energy undergirds everything we do, and if the Biden Administration is serious about tackling inflation, they should unleash our domestic production. Instead, Congress is preparing to raise taxes to fund the green agenda."
