NM State Treasurer Tim Eichenberg attended the NM Biz Coalition event on Thursday. I was hoping he would declare he and his fellow Democratic leaders saw the light and would return our hard-earned gold they have buried in their backyards. It does not seem equitable that only their good friend Sheryl William Stapleton must return our hard-earned gold.

Two years ago, our campaign interns and a teacher were going to demand the APS School Board require evaluations for the school district, administrators, and teachers (not just teacher evaluations). Then they woke up and realized they would face retribution for voicing their opinion. Today, it would be US Attorney General Garland who would be prosecuting them for expressing their opinion. So much for equity.

Joe Biden and environmental groups just celebrated locking away more federal land for future use. It does not seem equitable they do not trust the younger generations with their national lands.

Albuquerque City Council recently approved Speed cameras. Remember the Red-Light cameras when it was discovered it was about revenue and not safety? I expect we will find the Speed cameras are about revenue and not safety. Speed cameras will not stop street racing but will target us that mistakenly drive five miles over the speed limit. Does that seem equitable?

When our property is stolen or vandalized, we know: The Albuquerque Police Department will not arrest, the District Attorney will not prosecute, and the Judges will not hold accountable the criminals that make our lives harder. When our local government does not hold criminals accountable for stealing our property, it is complicit in giving our property to criminals. That is not equitable.

What rotten luck Albuquerque Public Schools has? APS enrollment is down. APS student achievement is down. Charter, private and religious school enrollment is up. Biden's US Attorney General Garland is looking to enroll APS parents in La Tuna (Federal Correction Facility in Southern NM, for those naive law-abiding parents). On top of it all, the existing bond levy is coming to an end. APS has a new motto," Hey Buddy can you spare $630 million. Maybe Tim Eichenberg and his good buddies in Santa Fe plus Sheryl William Stapleton can dig up the $630 million in their backyards.
