Santa Fe Democrats are fortunate for the current state of the Republican Party.

The only thing worse than the Santa Fe Democrats stealing the treasures of New Mexico is what they left in its place. This realization occurred during the last segment of Saturday's "To The Point with Mick Rich" on KKOB (2:00 to 3:00 pm).

Between segments, I asked Amaire, "What are your listeners on the Sports Animal saying about the trial of Athletic Director Krebs?" She responded, "Our listeners don't care; it is just UNM." I remember when people cared. When the Lobo men's basketball or football played a home game, people wore red shirts, sweaters, and pullovers to work. I remember when the Pit was packed and the "sound meter" was off the chart.

Santa Fe Democrats succeeded in taking away UNM's nationally ranked ski team and soccer team.

Unsupported football, basketball, and baseball are a shadow of their former selves. Santa Fe Democrats left in the wake: UNM baseball player Jackson Weller was gunned down blocks from UNM, and the last UNM-NMSU pre-game basketball warm-up comprised of the gunning down of a UNM student.

Santa Fe Democrats have taken away the Lobo Louie howl and replaced it with the wail of mothers whose sons and daughters are dead on the street.

A lone jet streaked across the sky on its way to Albuquerque Sunport, while I was working in our yard this past weekend. I Remember when Southwest Airlines jets constantly landed and took off from the Albuquerque Sunport. I remember when our NM Air National Guard had F-16s at KAFB, and the USAF F-22s were at HAFB. Today New Mexico is the only Air National Guard without airplanes, and HAFB is home to outdated fighters.

Santa Fe Democrats and our bipartisan congressional delegation lost our F-16s and F-22s. Today Santa Fe Democrats and their associates in Washington aren't trying to get them back. They have replaced the Sound of Freedom with Silence.

In the 1990s, all the high techs of the world had a presence in the Albuquerque Metro Area. General Electric, Philips, Digital, and Intel, to name a few. Slowly one closed after another, leaving Intel the sole survivor. Then Bill Richardson and his Santa Fe Democrats fought against Intel's water request for future expansion. The Intel Board of Directors understood that Intel was not welcome in New Mexico and expanded to Arizona.

While world demand for Intel chips has re-invigorated the NM Intel plant, Santa Fe Democrats have yet to agree on a water source for future growth. While the high-tech industry employs a fraction of what it once was, those jobs have been replaced with jobs in abortion clinics and massage parlors.

New Mexico's manufacturing prowess was impressive in the 1980s. GE Jet Engine and TIF Structures shipped their products around the world. WW Steel, Rio Grande Steel, and Eidson Tanks shipped their products throughout the Southwest. They are gone with their high-paying jobs and tax base.

Santa Fe Democrats replaced high-paying manufacturing jobs with low-paying entertainment industry jobs enticed with twenty-five percent rebates funded by the hard-working people of New Mexico. New Mexicans get poorer, and Hollywood Fat Cats get richer.

Santa Fe Democrats point to their successes in creating more jobs. They have created jobs in gambling, liquor sales, breweries, marijuana dispensaries, the sex trade, the abortion industry, and the illicit drug trade. Not surprisingly, New Mexican's life expectancy and quality of life have decreased. The hope Santa Fe Democrats are delivering to New Mexicans is that they have a chance to win the lottery.

Santa Fe Democrats are as fortunate as New Mexicans are unfortunate. The Republicans Pearce Posse and the McCleskey Marauders are too busy fighting over power and money to defeat the Santa Fe Democrats. At the same time, New Mexico's Republican loyalists work to elect Republican candidates across the state that can only win Southeast New Mexico. Meanwhile, the Koch Brothers New Mexico Organization is as consequential as the pothole crew on NM Highway 550 (Koch Brothers Industry rebuilt Hwy 550).

I say: No More. No More Santa Fe Democrats destroying what was Good and Honorable of the Once Great State of New Mexico. No more self-serving Republican leaders. No more Goldwater Republicans versus Reagan Republicans versus Trump Republicans.

You have the power to turn The Great State of New Mexico around by: Working to restore the Big Tent of the New Mexico Republican Party, which welcomes all Conservatives; Electing conservative candidates that are from the community, not just the Republican Party; and Solely focused on defeating the Santa Fe Democrats to save our state.
