The Master of the Universe, our God who is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the God of Israel (the Sons of Promise), doesn't seem to respond to little things here and there. With Him, it is all or nothing. He created our planet and He created us to be on it. He has a plan and a great purpose.

In the book He authored, He outlined His expectations for His people. He adopts people of all nations into His plan, allowing them, us, to enter into His provision and protection on our loyalty oath to leave the "dark areas" that are under the control of His enemy, and to become His citizens under new rules.

Knowing our innate weaknesses and foolish ideas, He tells us to commit to His rule and serve Him in a number of ways. We need to study and learn from His book. We need to grow close to Him and obey His mandates, get to know Him personally. And we need to work together, to unify with brothers and sisters.

When we find ourselves overwhelmed by the reality of sin all around us, we are to pray and intercede to Him directly, using information in the book to lead and guide us. He also asks us to listen to His Spirit, not just any other spirits, not even our own, and be led by His Spirit.

We need to know our delegated authority as given to us after Calvary. We now have assignments and we need to do the praying and interceding we were instructed to do to hold things together until His Son returned. (Whatever happened to THAT job?) But let's get back to doing what we should.

Rather than be amazed at all the need, let's come together in agreement that we will prioritize the neediest of the works and unify, agree with each other, to do a good job with a few assignments. We can't take on all that we see. Let's start by praying for our leading and our assignments tonight.

Let us also pray that those who are not with us physically, but in Spirit, will also find their small, close groups and become effective troops in the Army of God. We can all contribute to the overall mission when we are Spirit led.
