Congrats to Silver Schools for Golden Chile award

Congratulations to Silver City Consolidated Schools and Frontier Food Hub for earning top awards in the Golden Chile Award Program by connecting students to locally grown food!

The State recognized 66 schools, preschools, senior centers and growers statewide for their involvement in the NM Grown Program this year. Silver Schools' award honors school officials' efforts buying local produce for student meals, cultivating edible school gardens and teaching students the value of growing and eating nutritious produce. Frontier Food Hub's award reflects their commitment to provide their community with freshly grown food.

Your work changes lives! We appreciate Silver Schools for supporting local agriculture and helping kids develop healthy habits, and to Frontier because we couldn't do this work without dedicated growers in New Mexico. Thank you for investing in the health of Grant County's youth.
