What? You say there's nothing to do in Grant County? Saturday, April 13, had so many activities going on that the Beat could only get to a few of them.
The Grant County Home Business Network show at the Santa Clara National Armory featured many vendors setting up shop to show off their wares. The Silver City Museum offered a Native American rattle making class for youngsters. Leyba & Ingalls Arts offered the opportunity to create a clay "raindrop," which will become a part of a Youth Mural Project, Agua es la vida, on the 12th Street Bridge. The mural will be installed on April 27, Comcast Cares Day.

At Leyba & Ingalls Arts, artists of all ages had the opportunity to create "raindrops" from clay and then to paint them with a variety of glazes colors. Above, Dace Begay, 6, carefully paints the glaze onto his raindrop. The raindrops will become part of a mural on the 12th Street Bridge.
