Incumbent Silver Consolidated School Board member Trent Petty was swept aside dramatically by challenger Frances Vasquez, 407 to 40, in Tuesday's election, according to the Grant County Clerk's Office unofficial tally.

Incumbent school board member Anthony Gutierrez was also trounced, 172 to 76, by rival Michael McMillan, according to the unofficial tally.

In the Cobre School Board race, incumbent Frank Cordova beat his challenger, Frances Gonzales, 341 to 200. Incumbent Ralph "Toy" Sepulveda also beat his challenger, Hector Carrillo, but by a narrower margin, 291 to 264.

The bond issue on the Cobre School ballot garnered 313 for the issue and 97 against.

Those few, yet unverified and uncounted, provisional ballots cast are not expected to alter the outcome in any of the races.
