Margie and Hugh McKeen hosted Ranch Days again this year, on April 21 and 22, at their ranch outside Alma. This celebration of agriculture was attended by school children from many surrounding communities and from as far away as Massachusetts. Exhibit stations taught visitors about water use, roping, archery, butter and biscuit making, and much more. After a hamburger lunch provided by the McKeens, everyone watched calves get roped, branded and vaccinated. Ranch Days is a yearly event hosted by the McKeens to emphasize the importance of agriculture in its many forms, past and present.
