Synopsis:             2 Vehicle Burglaries

 

Locations:         1100 block of W. 6th St., 1600 block of Virginia St., 1300 block 32nd St

                        Silver City, New Mexico

 

Narrative:

            Officers of the Silver City Police Department responded to two Vehicle Burglaries and one Residential Burglary during the weekend of September 30, through October 4, 2011.

 

            On Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 6:38 AM officers responded to the 1100 block of W. 6th St where a grey 2002 Ford Mustang had been burglarized. The vehicle's rear window had been broken out. Taken from the vehicle were cash and a bag containing clothes from Rue 21.

 

            On Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 4:12 PM officers responded to the 1600 block of Virginia St. reference to a Residential Burglary. Victim stated that she had left her residence on October 1, 2011 and returned on October 2, 2011. The victim then advised that she went to turn on her Acer laptop computer she noticed that the laptop along with power cord was missing. The victim also stated that she noticed her sliding glass door was open and that she had closed and locked it before she left.

 

            On Monday, October 3, 2011 at 7:33 AM officers responded to the 1300 block of east 32nd St. in reference to a vehicle burglary. A brown 2008 Ford F-150 had been parked since 6:45 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2011. While vehicle was parked a black radar detector, a black Garmin GPS and some change had been taken. The victim is not sure if vehicle was locked or not.

 

            The Silver City Police Department is continuing the investigation into these incidents and is asking any one with any information to please call the department at (575) 538-3723.
