Synopsis:          Arrest

Location:          Silver City, New Mexico

Narrative:

On November 07, 2011, at about 6:01pm, officers from the Silver City Police Department were in the area of the 200 block of E. Dorothy Street, handling a call for service, when one of the officers saw a vehicle pass by which was known to be driven by a person wanted on a federal warrant.

The officers then left the first call and stopped the vehicle a short distance away and took into custody, Patrick Salaiz, 44, of 204 E. Dorothy in Silver City, on a federal warrant issued out of the United States District Court in Las Cruces, NM.

The warrant was for Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Salaiz was taken to the Silver City Police Department for processing and then transported to the Luna County Detention Facility, which houses federal prisoners. No bond was given.
