Días de los Muertos celebration, Texas and Market Streets
The Silver City Museum invited people of all ages to make paper marigolds, which are used to guide the spirits of loved ones to ofrendas, which are altars celebrating their lives and favorite things. Rebecca Margois read a bilingual story, "Spirit of Tío Fernando: a Day of the Dead Story" by Janice Levy. Celebrants could also enjoy the festivities at Texas and Market Streets, where the streets were blocked off to host a variety of booths and activities. Días de los Muertos activities will continue through Thursday, November 2.
