Carnitas, musica y mas, a new event this year, took place at Gough Park, beginning Friday evening, Aug. 30, 2019 and took place Saturday and Sunday, too. Vendors sold food and drink, everything from Mexican hamburgers, to carnitas too barbecue. Shave ice was welcome on a warm afternoon, and a cold drink could be had in the beer garden.
Music filled the air on Saturday afternoon, from the likes of Angelica Padilla and Oscar Pena. When bands, such as Bucky Allred's band on Friday evening, it brought out the dancers.
It was estimated that at least 2,000 people came through the gates on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, which also featured a car show.
