The annual District Science Olympiad for middle school and high school students took place at Western New Mexico University, including in the Intramural Gym, on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020.
Students from Silver High School, La Plata Middle School, Aldo Leopold Charter School in Silver City joined students from schools around the area, including Hatch, Deming, Lordsburg and Las Cruces to compete in active experiments in the gym, as well as competing in written tests in other buildings on campus.
