According to a U.S. Forest Service spokesperson, four to five lightning-caused fires were burning on the Gila National Forest Saturday afternoon, June 6, 2020.

Although all were about the same size -- three to four acres -- a decision was made to send a slurry bomber or air tanker from Grant County Airport to the Good Fire located in Blood Good Canyon in the Wilderness Area four to five miles southwest of the Cliff Dwellings at around 3 p.m.

The USFS spokesperson told the Beat they will have people on that fire to build a line around it.
