Silver City Police Department officers responded to an aggravated battery call at the Lintero Apartments parking lot at about 12:40 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2020. 

According to a police report narrative, officers made contact with a 27-year-old female, of the apartments, lying face down on the ground with lacerations to the back of her head and to her left eyebrow. The female was unresponsive at first to officer’s questions “due to her being unconscious.” 

The officer kept repeating the female’s name, the report said, asking her what happened, to which she answered that two named males and a named female “had done this to her.” The victim also asked that a puppy, which was located near her, and other items be taken to her apartment.

According to the report, EMS arrived on scene, treated the female, and transported her to Gila Regional Medical Center.

The report listed Eric Delao, 29, of Hurley, as a suspect.
