RonaldGreenRon Green is pictured next to the WNMU Nursing bronze sculpture, which was dedicated to Pam Kuthe, a longtime WNMU professor and GRMC nurse.Gila Regional Medical Center (GRMC) is proud to announce Ron Green as the new permanent Chief Nursing Officer, effective October 15, 2023. Ron is a long-time Silver City resident, graduating from Silver High School in 1990 and earning two degrees in nursing and accounting from WNMU.

While attending nursing school, Ron found support from GRMC through scholarships from the Foundation and worked in his first GRMC position as a ward clerk in the Intensive Care Unit. He has worked as a registered nurse at GRMC for over 16 years in multiple roles including Med-Surg, Special Care Unit, House Supervisor, Infection Control, and most recently Director of Clinical Operations overseeing the five GRMC clinics, Infusion Services, and the Cancer Center.

In September, Ron was awarded the Distinguished Service in Healthcare Award for all his hard work in maintaining the Cancer Center at the New Mexico Hospital Association Conference. “Ron has displayed true, thoughtful leadership in his tenure with GRMC which has spanned many facets of our business. He is a true champion of GRMC, our community, and the patients we serve,” states Interim Chief Executive Officer, Margie Molitor.
