The Grant Count Art Guild is made up of a group of local artists and crafters who have a unique seasonal  gallery, Pinos Altos Art Gallery, that is located in the historic Hearst Church in the quaint village of Pinos Altos. This rustic location only adds to the interest of visitors to the gallery, many of which are history buffs who enjoy touring this beautiful old building with a name of distinction. The fine art displayed there is a real bonus to their visit.

Those stopping in on Friday, July 26, will be pleased to find as the featured artist guild member Dora Klein, whose fused glass works of art are beautiful to display or to give as a gift. Her colorful glass earrings also have been very popular. Dora won the best in show honors for crafts at the Guild's opening show of the season.

On Saturday, July 27, and Sunday, July 28, well known local artist Barbara Smith will be the featured artist. Barbara's subjects are landscapes and still life in oils and acrylics, as well as other subjects in pastels. Her works that have been shown in the annual Master Painters show have been exceptional. This  weekend is the perfect time to visit the Pinos Altos Art Gallery and enjoy the art of this and other outstanding artists from our area.

The Pinos Altos Art Gallery is open from 10 till 5 on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and major holidays through October 6.
