Gila area, Southern NM:  The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) in District One has placed a CLOSURE on mile marker 3-4 on NM-211 in the Bear Creek area due to heavy erosion that has crossed the roadway. This is related to the rain storms that have swept through southern New Mexico. This region is expected to experience additional showers this evening which will continue to impact roadways and crossing with low barriers.
 
Motorists are advised to proceed with caution as water rises, which can create unsafe conditions for the public.
