How About Another Cup of Coffee?

This speaking series all started with our favorite story told by our governor, Susana Martinez, about how she realized after a discussion over a cup of coffee with a friend, that she was a Republican.

In June, Rick Lopez, the chairman of Torrence County, talked to us about how to take back our County, "One Cup of Coffee at a Time." He related that we have many beliefs that we share with other conservatives including the importance of family, education for our children, the sanctity of life, economic freedom and respect for our constitution.

In July, local speakers including Joseph Gros, who ran for the local senate seat and pastor at Calvary Chapel, Rachel Valencia, a teacher in Silver City, and Richard Bauch, mayor of Santa Clara shared their perspectives on how to turn Grant County around.

We are excited to have Bernadette Granger, strategist for the New Mexico GOP, as our honored speaker for this month’s meeting. She will be giving us an update on what the NMGOP is working on, future plans and strategies, and how Grant County can benefit from that plan. She will also talk about issues we need to be aware of as we approach 2014. I'll ask her to tell her "cup of coffee" story which totally changed her life.

Please join us—and bring a friend----it’s amazing how much energy is generated when we have great attendance! And remember, bring your voter card to enter in the drawing for the door prize.
