Silver City, New Mexico, May 20, 2015: Grant County residents have a chance to share their thoughts, opinions and give advice on prescription drugs at a series of three one-hour focus groups scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, 2015, from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

The focus groups are sponsored by the Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (YSAPC) as part of their efforts to meet community needs regarding prescription drug disposal.

The focus groups start at 5 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Participants must RSVP and will be compensated with a light dinner and a $40 gift card. Participants must be 18 years of age or older to be included in the focus group. Each focus group is limited to 12 participants. Participants will be given the location of the focus groups upon reserving their place.

The YSAPC is composed of 25 service providers and invested community members dedicated to creating an environment that cultivates healthy productive lifestyles through policy and advocacy change that promotes resilient and empowered youth.

The YSAPC is a program of the Grant County Community Health Council, the Health and Wellness Planning Authority of the Grant County Board of Commissioners, and is supported by Gila Regional Medical Center.
