This weekend is the last Saturday for street closure on Yankie Street.

Ginny Wolf invites the public to a Dias de los Muertos celebration at Ginny Wolf Studio & Gallery at 108 W. Yankie St.

A community altar will be constructed in front of the gallery and will be up from Saturday, Oct. 29, through Thursday, Nov. 3. She asks friends to bring her pictures and offerings, as well as little altars of loved ones, who have passed on. Dominique Q. Gonzales will also be at the gallery, with her beautiful sculptural pottery hearts and sugar skulls. Shannon Curry will be face painting, as well.

The reception and altar building and goodies will start at 3 p.m. until completed.  She invites friends to help remember and celebrate those who have died.

The Day of the Dead parade will also be coming through town Saturday at around 4:30 p.m..
