A P.E.P. Rally, Parents Encouraging Parents, will be held at the Bayard Public Library on Tuesday, April 10, from 6-7:30 p.m. This free interactive forum is open to all parents but will be of special interest to parents of elementary-age children. Topics of parent chats are: How to Keep out of trouble in school; Seeds for learning; and Have some fun while you're at it! Space is limited and registration may be made at the Bayard Library or by calling 537-6244. There will be a special prize for the first ten parents who register. Each participant will receive Your Home is a Learning Place by Pamela Weinberg and select from a variety of books for each family. Door prizes will be given and refreshments, provided by Mi Ranchito, will be served. For additional information on this opportunity for parents to sharpen their parenting skills, call 388-0892. This P.E.P. rally is sponsored by Literacy Link - Leamos, the Bayard Public Library, Mi Ranchito, and the Freeport-McMoRan Community Investment Fund.
