The Fort Bayard Historic Preservation Society has announced that effective November 2, the Museum, located in the historic Hospital Commander’s house at Fort Bayard National Historic Landmark, will be open Saturdays only, from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.  

Tours of the grounds will be led on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays from November through March, and will begin at 10:30 a.m. from the museum. The museum itself will be open every Saturday.

In addition, the Santa Clara/Historic Fort Bayard Visitors Center, located in the former National Guard Armory across the highway from the Village of Santa Clara, will operate on a shortened winter schedule, effective immediately. Hours at the Visitors Center will be 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Fridays and Mondays.
