Hello Silver City Community and Makers! 

First of all, we are glad so many people came out to our open house, and a big thanks to those who became members! We have our first update for you! Our new hours are currently:

Tuesday - Thursday 10:00am - 6:00 pm
Friday - Saturday 10:00am - 7:00pm

Later on we will be implementing our keyfob/keycard system to allow members even more access time.

All new members will receive a basic tool and space orientation, which currently will be provided when new members come in for the first time. The space is constantly in flux. New tools/spaces are coming and we want to emphasize that this is a community space in which you do have a voice on what happens and why. We will be setting up a monthly member meeting where we can all talk and discuss new things happening! That meeting is to be determined and we will be emailing members about it specifically.

At the Forge we will have volunteer opportunities. Currently there are a few ways to get involved! For information check out our website, which is now live! Woo!

Currently we are also setting up committees as another way to get involved. Our committees currently will be:

Program Planning Committee - This involves setting up classes and events.
Community Outreach Committee - This involves media, advertising and community interaction.
Volunteering Committee - This involves volunteers, orientation, and management.
