headshot Bruce Ashburn, Community Manager for PNM, will discuss his company’s future plans at the February 25 Silver City Rotary Club meeting. He will talk about how PNM is moving toward having zero carbon emissions and 80% renewable energy by 2040. His presentation will include information about how PNM is affected by legislature passed last year and about the Energy Transportation Act and steps being taken to move forward with its implementation.

William Knuttenin is the speaker coordinator for Rotary for February.  

The Silver City Rotary Club meets every Tuesday for lunch in the Sunset Room of the Western New Mexico University Student Cafeteria on the second floor of the WNMU Student Memorial Building.  Members of the public are invited to attend any Rotary Club meeting when the presentation is of interest to them. There is no charge to attend the presentation, but if members of the public wish to join the Rotarians in their lunch of an entrée, a salad and a dessert, there is a $10 fee. The lunch line is open at noon, the business meeting begins at 12:15 p.m., and the presentation begins at 12:30 p.m.
