The Silver City Public Library will undergo construction for new doors Friday, June 5 through Sunday, June 7, 2020. The library building remains closed to the public for public health. Curbside service to reserve and pick up books is ongoing. Pickup appointments are scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 9:00am and 11:00am and 3:30pm and 5:30pm, so the construction for the new doors should not interfere with curbside service pickups.

The new doors will be glass and will be more accessible. In the future the doors will also have door openers for accessibility. When the library re-opens to the public, the College Avenue door will be unlocked. Library users will be able to use the College Avenue door just as easily as the Cooper Street doors.

For more information, contact the library at 575-538-3672. Details about library services and programs can be found at silvercitypubliclibrary.org.
