The Mimbres Region Arts Council and Mural Program founding artist/director Diana Ingalls Leyba are pleased to announce a new chapter in the storied history of the Youth Mural Program. Beginning July 6, the Youth Mural Program will begin operating as an independently funded organization. Operations, fundraising and overall direction will remain in the very capable hands of its founder, Ingalls Leyba. The board and staff of the Mimbres Region Arts Council will continue to support the mission of the Youth Mural Program.

Perhaps more impressive is the impact on the generations of participants that have invested their time and energy into these projects. Ingalls Leyba is already hard at work behind the scenes, ensuring the future of the Youth Mural Program. Work on existing murals will begin again as current restrictions are lifted. Planning for future murals and activities are also underway.
