Bayard Police Department

Monday, Aug. 10

Larceny
Orchard Street
Advised that child’s laptop was taken last night by ex-husband. Officer spoke with both parties.

Rogers Road
Caller advised his ex-wife walked into his house and took a laptop and is now outside in a white van.

Domestic disturbance
Unknown location
Caller advised that her daughter’s husband choked her sometime last night/she refused medical. Officer advised will handle after the other call.

Domestic disturbance
Highway 180
Male pushed female when they were pulled over/they are at the Chevron now/male is chasing female/they are in the median by Family Dollar/carwash. Deputy has contact with female at the carwash/request ambulance for a 37-year-old female who is very winded.

Welfare check
Hurley Street
Caller advised that a named male is on narcotics/he is not being physical, just “driving her bananas.” Caller wants someone to pick him up and take him to jail stating he has a warrant out of Deming. Officer had negative contact.

Dog bite
Erie Street
8-year-old male bit on the hand/bleeding/middle of hand. 2-year-old female bit on the hip/no bleeding/2-inch slice. Officer located dog. Wounds were small/small amounts of blood.

Tuesday, Aug. 11

Disturbance
Watson Street
Male yelling, ”I’m going to bang your head in.”/yelling stopped while on the phone. Second caller advised it is a named male and was very upset about the situation and is tired of dealing with this every morning. Caller refused to leave her information and said she needed to get some sleep. Disposition to officer when he is available/it is an animal issue.

Harassment
Poplar Street and Central Avenue – 9:17 a.m.
Advised that a male in a blue car threatened caller at the stop sign. Caller advised the male told her to “Slow the **** down or I’m going to kill you.” Officer advised caller advised it occurred a couple of days ago/will try to contact the male.

Harassment
500 East Street – 4:29 p.m.
A named individual is harassing caller while she was driving and was told to slow down. Officer advised will be en route to Silver to a Newsham Street address/out at the address for follow up.

Wednesday, Aug. 12

Welfare check
Snell Middle School
Caller advised kids are sitting around the train tracks. Officer was advised.

Thursday, Aug. 13

Welfare check
Poplar and S. Canyon streets
Officer and deputy in the area ATL/out on foot/negative contact in the creek/will frequent patrol.

Reckless driver
Highway 180 – Santa Clara
Vehicle driving half on the road and half on the shoulder. NMSP officer went traffic with vehicle/negative on intoxication/driver is pregnant.

Caller advised a named male is outside ranting and raving. Officer spoke with male/will call caller.

Caller from CYFD would like a welcheck on two kids. Officer advised kids are okay.

A named female isn’t answering her phone this morning/yesterday she was drunk/she has an issue with alcohol/caller is her therapist. Officer made contact with the female/she will contact her counselor.

Santa Rita Street – 6:09 p.m.
Caller advised that a named male is at the location and is involved in narcotics/he is causing problems/believes he is on probation. Officer made contact with the male/everything is okay/will call caller.

Santa Rita Street – 8:17 p.m.
Officer/believes the nephew is back at this address.

Tuesday, Aug. 11

Domestic disturbance
N. Bellm Street
Caller advised that a female came to her house bleeding advising that her father hit her/the mother is now threatening caller/mother and caller are arguing/victim is a child/child is still bleeding/appears to be a teen. Second call an open line/mother just threatened to ”beat the ****” out of the teen/can hear female saying, “The cops better not show up.”

600 S. East and Boulder streets – 4:02 p.m.
Two kids on a red ATV with no helmets/may be12-years-old and are speeding.

Breaking and entering
S. Bayard Street
Caller advised a male pushed his way into an office and dragged his girlfriend in as well. Owner of office was contacted/secured building.

Thursday, Aug. 13

Reckless driver
600 S. East and Boulder streets
Two young kids on a red ATV/oldest one is 12-years-old/not wearing helmets. Caller called this in yesterday also.

S. Bayard Street
Caller advised she owns this house and she evicted a named male and his mother/they were supposed to be moving out of the house. However, her neighbor called to advise the male is taking the appliances and they belong to her not to the male and his mother. Officer advised he checked the house and doesn’t know how long ago the neighbor had called but the subjects are not a threat at this time/the house is clear.
