Aggravated battery

Caller advised a named female and her boyfriend slashed her tires and broke the window to her vehicle/they are two rooms away from caller. Second caller advised that a named individual hit his 43-year-old girlfriend with a crowbar.

Cortez Avenue – Gateway Motel – Hurley – 7:47 a.m.
Caller advised that a named individual is back at her vehicle and is slashing the tires on the opposite side.

Injuring-tampering with motor vehicle
Cortez Avenue – Gateway Motel – Hurley – 8:25 a.m.
Caller advised the male who was breaking the windows to her car is doing it again. Second caller advising that a named individual just went up to her vehicle and broke the windshield. Deputy on scene.

Santa Rita Mine Road – Vanadium
Caller advising "Something happening to them in Vanadium." Caller was talking about bowel movements and how the toilet paper was coming up clean after she flushed the toilet/advised they watched her through the television. Made contact with caller and spoke with her for a few minutes/everything was okay.

Caller advised an upset customer is at Silverback yard. Deputies advised it is a civil issue until he receives ownership of the vehicle in February/everything is okay/customer departed with no incident.

Two males walking toward Silver City. Deputy made contact advising everything is okay/family showed up with a tire/clear.

An 18-year-old female is not answering caller's texts/last contact 20 minutes ago/he is outside the building and nobody is answering the door/caller is in a white Hyundai/she is acting strangely and he is concerned for her health.

Female passed out in a vacant lot/caller was out walking a dog. Deputy made contact with the female/she told the deputy she was fine/she just decided to lay down and rest because she had a long walk. Deputy advised her responses were normal and she did not seem . . .

Happening over the internet/caller requested a female officer.

Suspicious vehicle
Highway 180 – MM 119 (1 mile east of Uncle Woody's Flea Market)
Deputy advised left front tire is blown/vehicle is locked and secure/unit clear.

Reckless driver
XYZ and Arenas Valley roads
Advised a white dump truck is speeding through the roadway. Did see the vehicle/negative on speeding or reckless driving.

Caller advised a white semi is swerving in and out of lanes headed toward Deming. Deputy advised NMSP and Luna County were advised.

Hasn't spoken to a 71-year-old female who lives alone since last night/it is unlike her not to answer. Deputy made contact with female advising she doesn't have service/she is okay.

Fairway Drive – Grant County Road Department
Three shots and a fourth just now. Five deputies together ATL in the area of Slag Road/with SCPD officers. Deputies advised negative contact with anything in the area of Daniel Street and in the general area.

Thursday, Jan. 14

Vehicle burglary
North Hurley Road – North Hurley – 8:50 a.m.
Advised both vehicles were broken into/red Cadillac and green Tundra/nothing has been touched/possible weapon inside the pickup.

North Hurley Road – 10:19 a.m.
Advised purse taken from inside the vehicle/advised is on quarantine/was tested for COVID/negative/she thinks it was her ex-partner who broke into her vehicle.

Larceny
Whiskey Creek Airport Road – Arenas Valley
Caller had his mail box broken into last night/he did put a new lock on it. Deputy advised en route to mailboxes on Whiskey Creek and Kirkland roads.

2068 Cottage San Road – Silver Star
Caller advised that her girlfriend is arguing with a named male about a chainsaw/he has it in his hands and is refusing to give it back. Deputy made contact advising parties advised it was all verbal and the male is going to take off walking to cool down.

Caller advised there is a dark vehicle with no lights on/asked if the male needed help and he advised no, he was looking for a house for sale/the way the male talked he didn't sound 'right.' Dispositioned to NMSP.

Caller advised her husband hit her with his hand/she locked herself in the bedroom/he has been drinking all day/no suicide threats. Deputies advised everything is okay/one in custody.
