What: The Western New Mexico University Board of Regents meeting during which members will discuss and vote on the upcoming fiscal year’s budget. New business includes voting on the recommendations of emeritus designation, promotion and tenure, and post-tenure review; new degree programs; the five-year capital outlay projects & infrastructure & capital projects plan, changes to the faculty and staff handbooks; Staff Senate constitution & bylaws changes; and the Alcohol & Drug Prevention Biennial Program Review. Other items the board is set to vote on include the Final FY 21 Bar Adjustment Request, FY 21 Quarter 3 Financial Actions Report, Capital Project Transmittal for Regents Row Demolition & Infrastructure Reroute, Capital Project Transmittal for Harlan/Fleming Commons & 10th St Infrastructure, Resolution to Sell Real Property in Luna County, Asset Disposal, and Resolution Adopting Notice Procedures Pursuant to the NM Open Meetings Act. The agenda and pertinent documents are available at wnmu.edu.

Who: The members of the WNMU Board of Regents, including Regent Chair Dr. Mary Hotvedt, Vice Chair Janice Baca Argabright, Student Regent/Secretary/Treasurer Brenda Hernandez Gonzales, and members Dr. Lyndon Haviland and Dr. Daniel H. Lopez; WNMU President Dr. Joseph Shepard, Vice President for Academic Affairs/Provost Dr. Jack Crocker, Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Dr. Isaac Brundage, Vice President for Business Affairs Kelley Riddle, and other university leaders.

When: The WNMU Board of Regents executive session starts at 8:30 a.m., while the regular session is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, April 23.
