Mogollon, the mining ghost town in the Glenwood area, reopens May 15. The Purple Onion Cafe opens at 9 a.m., the Old Kelly Store and the Mogollon Museum open at 10 a.m. The Old Kelly Store features jewelry, souvenirs, Southwest paintings, gourd art, embossed copper pictures and much more.  The museum’s collection includes ancient Native American pottery, historic pictures, vintage clothing, mining implements, antique furniture, saddles, weapons and vintage toys and household items. It’s a visit to times gone by.

Bingo

The San Francisco Valley 4-H Club is hosting a cash bingo on Saturday May 29 at Glenwood Community Park. There will also be kids bingo, door prizes and snacks and drinks. Time is TBA,

Now open

The Catwalk Gallery and Gift Shop has reopened for the season. Stop by Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays to explore the wide variety of handcrafted gifts and unique artwork. 

Street Market

The Glenwood Street Market is back, on Highway 180 in downtown Glenwood.  Vendors offer a wide variety of wares including baked goods, unique handmade items, produce and snacks. The market is open Saturday mornings until approximately 2 p.m. 

Trading Post

The rejuvenated Trading Post on Highway 180 in Glenwood keeps getting better and better. The gift shop area has expanded and features items by local artisans, Catwalk T-shirts and a rock shop for all the rockhounds out there. It also offers basic groceries, snacks, drinks, sandwiches and – gas (24-7 with credit card.)

Cosmic Campground

The Cosmic Campground is open. It’s a great place to enjoy the wonders of the night sky. Bring a friend, red filtered flashlight, warm clothes, lawn chair, and telescope and binoculars if you have them. For more information, go to www.cosmiccampground.org/
