Come to downtown Silver City on Saturday, July 3, 2021 and Love Local with fifty merchants offering deals, discounts and free drawings. The promotion is sponsored by Silver City MainStreet and encourages residents and tourists to stroll around downtown and shop local.

As we open back up from the pandemic, Silver City MainStreet is asking residents to Love Local by shopping and dining in downtown Silver City. Downtown Silver City offers more than twenty places to dine and drink, more than twenty retail shops with affordable gifts, and more than twenty galleries offering everything from funky contemporary art to fine art. 

“There are more than 130 businesses downtown, states Evangeline Zamora, board vice-president of Silver City MainStreet. There are antique shops, retail shops, galleries, restaurants and coffee houses, day spas, historic hotels, the Silco Theater, the Silver City Museum, real estate offices, The El Sol Theater, and more than twenty-five service businesses. It’s a great mix of businesses and that is what makes our downtown vibrant.

We hope to encourage more residents to come downtown to dine and shop. Visitors are impressed by our downtown, and we hope residents will have that same excitement and pride in downtown once they come down and really see everything that is offered.”

The Love Local promotion is Saturday, July 3, 2021, so after the parade come downtown, and show your support for businesses that have weathered the pandemic.
