August 8, at 10:00 am, 3845 North Swan Street  – "The Urgency of Now”

The science is clear; the time for action on climate is NOW. Please join local climate activists Mike and Carol Ann Fugagli as they provide the latest science on climate change, and show, unequivocally, that we have entered a decisive decade for humanity’s future on our rapidly warming planet.

As co-coordinators of the Upper Gila Watershed Alliance’s climate justice and youth empowerment program, Thinking ON a Mountain, Mike and Carol Ann will also talk about their local work with area youth, and provide a roadmap for climate action at the local, state, national, and international levels. Keenly aware of the psychological toll that climate change and biodiversity loss can have on youth and adults alike, Mike and Carol Ann will also talk about their personal struggles with ecological grief, and the tools they use to stay motivated, hopeful, and sane in the face of mass extinction.

Masks are encouraged. If you are unvaccinated, for the protection of others please practice social distancing and wear a mask except when eating or drinking.

There will be coffee and conversation after the service, and visitors are always welcome.
