The Grant County Toys for Tots 2021 campaign has begun! The past eighteen months have been difficult for everyone, but the Toys for Tots campaign is committed to making Christmas for our children better than ever. Though different from last year, this year will present a new set of challenges due to disruptions in the global supply chain, labor shortages, and increased shipping costs. In light of these issues, we are calling on Grant County to rally for our kids and help us collect toys!

We will be collecting toys in several locations throughout the county so if you are able, please drop off a new, unwrapped toy in one of our white Toys for Tots boxes with the red train. Here are just a few of the locations:

Arby's
American Legion (next to Grinder Mill)
Curl Up & Dye
Ft. Bayard Federal Credit Union
Grant County Administration Building
St. Francis Newman Center office (13th and Florida)
Sun Valley Hardware

We are also taking monetary donations which enables us to purchase toys from wholesale distributers. Despite the challenges, we are hopeful that we will be able to fulfill all of the requests. To make a financial contribution, please contact Robert Lopez at (575) 313-9369.

If you live in Grant County and need to request a toy for your child, please go to silvercity-nm.toysfortots.org and click on the "request a toy" pull down menu then enter your information.

We will be accepting applications between Monday, October 4 and Monday, November 15. No toy requests will be taken via Facebook or by phone. ALL applications must be submitted online. Toy distribution will be at the Santa Clara Armory on Saturday, December 18. No walk-ins will be taken.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Toys for Tots and the disadvantaged children of Grant County. For more information, call Robert Lopez at (575) 313-9369.
