A reminder of a few (FREE!) upcoming opportunities to reconnect with CDTC this year.

CDTC TOWN HALLS

The Continental Divide Trail Coalition will be holding two virtual Town Halls to share our 2021 successes and our plans for the year ahead, and as a member of a CDT Gateway Community, you're invited! The two Town Halls will be tailored to highlight regional interests and concerns, so feel free to pick the event local to you or your interests or join them both! Bring your questions - we'll open the end of each session up to member questions.

WHAT MOTIVATES ACTION WORKSHOP

Tuesday, February 8, 4 - 6 pm MST

The work you do to support the CDT in your Gateway Community matters. You know this, and others often agree. However, we've heard from Gateway Community program volunteers that recruiting others in your communities to join your efforts can be downright frustrating. Let’s pause and consider alternate ways to engage others with the CDT in 2022. Centered in asset-based community development (ABCD), this workshop highlights the core motivations that lead to action and how we can uncover individual motivations in our communities. Facilitated by Beckah Terlouw, this session will help you learn how to invite connections to join you in the Gateway Community program.

Beckah is passionate about cultivating collaborative leadership within diverse teams. She values efficiency, innovation, inclusion, winning, and absolutely loves solving challenges. Beckah works nationwide with organizations ready to increase results in strengths-based collaboration, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), strategic community engagement, asset-based community development (ABCD), and project innovation.

CONTINENTAL DIVIDE TRAIL SHUTTLE WEBINAR

Wednesday, Feb. 23, 5 - 6 pm MST

Transportation between the Continental Divide Trail and neighboring towns is often one of the biggest needs voiced by both trail visitors and community members alike. This webinar is designed for Gateway Community governments, visitor centers, and residents to learn more about how other communities are providing this vital service to CDT visitors. Learn about CDTC's Southern Terminus shuttle program and the benefits and challenges to running a shuttle service, along with the logistical preparations your community may need to make to enact a similar program. Register here for this session.

Thank you all for your continued commitment and engagement with the CDT Gateway Community program. We look forward to seeing you at these programs and to continue to work in partnership with you to complete, promote, and protect the Continental Divide Trail this year.
