The Rotary Club of Silver City has announced the following speaker for its Tuesday luncheon meeting in February 2022. Barbara Gabioud, will talk about “A Local Border Story”. The Grant County/Silver City community has supported shelters for asylum seekers first in Deming, then Palomas, MX, and now both. Gabioud coordinates this effort.

On February 8, 2022, Trinity and Beyond, Michael Shinaberry, Education Specialist at the NM Museum of Space History in Alamogordo, will speak about The Trinity Site, the first test of an atomic device, the deployment of the first atomic weapon and its aftermath.

On February 15, 2022, Arturo Barrio, the Assistant Rotary Public Image Coordinator for Rotary Zones 26/27 and District Public Image Chair will speak about: “Public Image=Greater Reach."

This talk will be Online only, but all of the meetings will be hybrid.
