adrienne dare 2Adrienne Dare will speak to the Rotary Club on July 12, 2022, about the Elizabeth Whitefield End-of-Life Options Act. Dare has been active in trying to make medical aid in dying an end-of-life option in New Mexico since 2002. She has worked in Silver City and throughout the state, giving presentations about the subject and advocating for the passage of legislation. The Elizabeth Whitefield End-Of-Life Options Act became law in New Mexico on June 18, 2021.

The Rotary Club meets every Tuesday from 12-1 p.m. for lunch in the WNMU Student Memorial Building, Second Floor, Sunset Room. There is a brief “meet and greet,” a short business meeting and then the speaker has the floor. The club welcomes members of the public to the meetings. Guests are asked to contribute $10.00 if they want a hot lunch with salad, dessert and coffee. If anyone is unable to attend in person, a Zoom link can be obtained by sending an email request to info@silvercityrotary.org
