Proceeds Benefit the Western New Mexico University Permanent Collection Fund

Opening Reception Thursday July 7, 4-6PM at the Downtown Blue Dome Gallery (307 N. Texas Street)

Western New Mexico University’s (WNMU) permanent art collection is comprised of sculptures, photographs, paintings, prints, textiles, and ceramics donated by private collectors, artists, and students. Stewardship of the collection began over 30 years ago for the purpose of committing to the study of the visual arts, and preserving the rich historical heritage of the local artist community, as well as prominent work of national and international artists. The University continues to expand its collection to encourage an understanding and appreciation of art that benefits both WNMU Expressive Arts students and the community at large.

Charles and Edwina Milner have long been contributors to arts education at WNMU, establishing the Edwina and Charles Milner Women in the Arts Lecture and Exhibit series, which provides both support and exposure to working female artists.

Works by the late Harry Benjamin will also be for sale.
