The NMDOH will be holding 2 data presentations in partnership with the Grant County Community Health Council. The purpose of these presentations is to present county specific data to Grant County stakeholders, individuals, and community members regarding the improvement of health and wellness in Grant County. Dr. Joshua Whaley, NMDOH lead Epidemiologist of the Southwest Region, will be presenting county specific data to outline health aspects of Grant County.

*It will only be necessary for you to attend one of the two dates selected for this presentation.

This data presentation will be the first step in developing a Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).
A community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) is a long term and systematic effort to address local public health problems. We hope that the CHIP will be developed in a way that truly reflects the community. For our CHIP to be successful, we need to examine and understand the data from a community perspective.

These presentations will be held in a hybrid setting for convenience; however, we highly encourage you attend in person.

Date of presentations: October 6, 2022, and October 13, 2022, from 5:30pm-6:30pm.
Place of presentations: Grant County Commissioners meeting room: 1400 Hwy 180 E. In Silver City, NM. (Although you are highly encouraged to attend the presentation(s) in person, it will also be available hybrid via Teams- the link is below)

We look forward to seeing you at this meeting and are excited to collaborate and work together towards addressing ways in which we can improve our community's health. We are hopeful that those in attendance will recognize the importance of discussing and addressing the health issues in our community and assist us in combating them.
