Elise Stuart will present "To Rhyme or Not to Rhyme," a poetry workshop for children ages 7-11, at the Silver City Public Library. The event will be held on March 10, from 4-5 pm MST. Elise will use examples and collective work to show kids how to write their own poems. She will be using rhyming and non-rhyming poems to showcase the joys of poetry. By listening to rhyming and non-rhyming poems, kids will use their imagination and then write their own poems.

Elise Stuart was Poet Laureate of Grant County from 2004-2017. She is the author of My Mother and I, We Talk Cat, a memoir and Another Door Calls, a poetry collection. She has led numerous poetry workshops with youth. She is at work on a new books of poems.
