PUBLIC NOTICE
The Mayor of the Town of Silver City is accepting applications for one (1) volunteer position for District 1 Councilor. Applicants for this positionshall reside within District 1 of the Town of Silver City. The term is for the remainder of the four-year term ending in December 2023. The Town Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday every month at 6:00 P.M. and holds special meetingsas needed. Applications will be accepted until 5:00 P.M., on April 28, 2023.
Successful applicants will be interviewed by the Mayor and each Council Member individually at the City Annex located at 1203 N. Hudson,
Silver City, NM the first week of May. The appointment for CouncilorDistrict 1 will be made at the Regular Council Meeting on May 9, 2023.

All applicants must submit a Resume, a letter of intent stating why you have an interest to serve as a Councilor in District 1, as well as indicate your goals or what you wish to accomplish while in office.
