richard and lajean pieperRichard and La Jean Pieper will speak to Rotary on April 11, 2023. Topic: “The Cokeville Elementary School Crisis.”  Elder Pieper explained that “on May 18, 1986, the former town Marshall, David Young, having been fired seven years earlier, returned to Cokeville, Wy. and took the entire elementary school hostage.” The Piepers will tell about the lessons learned by the community, the school and the individuals involved, as they were there on this historic occasion.  

The meeting will be held at Wranglers, 2005 US-180, from 12-1 p.m.
