VERY IMPORTANT PUBLIC NOTICE

RE: GREEN RECYCLABLE BINS WILL BE DISCONTINUED AS OF AUGUST 1, 2023

Please be advised that all green recycle bins will be discontinued as of August 1, 2023, for the following reasons:

1. The Recycling Program for the Town of Silver City has been terminated since there is no longer a third-party recycling market for recyclable materials.

2. The green recyclable bins have not been used for recyclable materials for the past few years, but still have been picked up and deposited at the Landfill without a fee.  This is not feasible for the Town of Silver City.

3. Residents that have been utilizing the green recyclable bins for regular trash please contact the Town’s waste service provider, Universal Waste at (1-505-377-8833) before August 1, 2023, to obtain the regular blue trash bins. Green bins will be picked up last week in JULY.
