Since 2001 the Town of Silver City has sponsored the popular music event with an average donation of $20-25,000 annually, in addition to providing public safety officers - both police and fire protection - as well as streets and sanitation services, park and facilities staff, and also fencing in recent years.

"When people talk about Silver City they talk about the events," said Town Manager Alex Brown. "Over the years, Blues Fest has been a key event which contributes so much to the quality of life that we enjoy, as well as economic development through cultural tourism. "Blues Fest is an important part of what makes Silver City so great, and I'm pleased that we've been able to be a supporter all these years. My hope is that, working with the Mimbres Region Arts Council and others in the community, we will be able to continue offering Blues Fest to locals and visitors alike."
