Saturday, September 9 at 1PM local Author Linda Garrett will be signing her books at SWAG Books & More, 409 N Bullard St in Silver City, NM. Light refreshments will be provided.

Linda Garrett is the author of Playing Through and the Walking Strings Stories series. She is a self-described feminist nerd who enjoys reading, writing, hiking, traveling, exploring, rock collecting, geocaching, language learning, and bicycling. Her YA novel Playing Through reveals the life of a young woman who questions who she is and what she believes and it reflects the challenges women - all women - face whether the year is 1923 or 2023. As her story is pieced together through personal artifacts, readers discover her authentic self and learn how she found her voice. Her books are now available everyday at the book store.

The SouthWest Adolescent Group (SWAG) seeks to serve area youth by supporting, creating, implementing and making accessible programming that will serve to improve their quality of life. The programs offered through SWAG will be made available regardless of race, gender, spirituality, sexual orientation, or economic status.
