The New Mexico Recovery Coalition in collaboration with Supporting People In Need announces a Meet and Greet for individuals and organizations interested in street outreach.

Friday, Nov. 10 at 9am the New Mexico Recovery Coalition (NMRC) and SPIN will host a networking event at Gough Park for anyone interested in street outreach to homeless or high-risk individuals. This event is an opportunity for outreach workers and interested parties to exchange information about current or proposed programs, ideas for outreach and collaboration, and their contact information.

With few resources for homeless and high-risk individuals in Southwestern New Mexico, this Meet and Greet will allow us all to have a better understanding of the services currently available, to develop services from inter-agency cooperation, and to avoid duplication of services.

For those unable to attend, NMRC and SPIN will host two other events. They will hold a Meet and Greet on Nov. 7 at 603 Hadeco Street, Suite B in Lordsburg and on November 18 at 212 South Copper Street in Deming. Both events will begin at 9am.

New Mexico Recovery Coalition, NMRC, is a compassionate startup nonprofit organization and Southwest New Mexico's exclusive non-government boots-on-ground provider driving harm reduction services, rapid HIV/HCV/syphilis testing, basic street medicine, limited mobile crisis interventions, and other key mental health advocacy initiatives into our rural and frontier communities.

Supporting People In Need, SPIN, is a local nonprofit with a stated mission of providing supportive services to people who face barriers such as mental/physical illness, and/or homelessness, to facilitate their living with autonomy and dignity. SPIN has been providing a wide array of services to their target population since 2017 and now has locations in Silver City, Deming, and Lordsburg.
