Event is free to the public

Silver City, New Mexico, March 22, 2024—After a year in business, the women behind the newly named Sage Serenity Studio invite the public to their First Anniversary Open House on Friday, March 29. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided from 1-3pm and there will be a raffle for pilates, pedicure, and massage services. Meet and greet the wellness practitioners behind the newly named Sage Serenity Studio, which houses three of Silver City’s finest wellness and beauty businesses under one roof.

An intergenerational and woman-owned business, the studio brings mother and daughter Tracey Jones and Codie Bachman together with friend and colleague Carol Watson-Brand. The three women have been working and operating their respective practices in the space together since March of 2023 but are rebranding it as a destination under a single name people can go to for their wellness needs.

Mind, Body & Spirit Massage & Pilates with Tracey Jones

Tracey brings over 19 years of massage experience to create a personalized massage treatment during which time she has built up a devoted following. Her body work is often intense, using deep tissue techniques and Reiki energy work, but she also ably adapts to the needs of the individual client. Jones also offers personalized private pilates sessions. She has been teaching Pilates for 8 years and has completed instructor training with both Peak Pilates and Balanced Body Pilates, allowing her to offer both Classical Pilates and Contemporary sessions. Jones will also be adding new services later this year as she completes training in barre and in barefoot massage.

Sole Escape Feet Retreat with Codie Bachman

Not just a pedicure place, but a holistic solution for fingers and toes, Bachman’s Sole Escape captures a feeling of bygone glamor and travel. Codie completed cosmetology school in 2013 and has worked in various salons and as a freelance artist before making the jump to open her own studio as a nail technician last year. Her artistic bent has influenced her personal style and her work with clients and garnered her followers on social media. However, Codie’s main concentration is on nail health. She employs only the highest standards for cleanliness and sanitation and uses organic and conscientious products including custom made clean scrubs to promote good health and circulation to improve your nail bed and grow more beautiful, healthier nails. She offers products for sensitive skin and vegan and organic polishes, as well as popular high quality gels for hand-painted custom nail designs. Codie has created an experience that would be at home in any upscale big-city neighborhood, she maintains a vibe that is friendly and priced competitively for Silver City.

Dancing Stones Studio, movement and pilates with Carol Watson-Brand.

Carol has taught movement for over 30 years. She completed her first Pilates certification in 2003 and has continued to refine her skills ever since. Her most recent certification is as a Movement Reeducation Specialist through Z-Health Performance Solutions, specializing in optimizing movement through brain-based education. Choosing a Pilates session can strengthen and tone the body through movement. It can also improve posture and reverse the forward slump that is so common thanks to our modern lifestyles, according to Watson-Brand. Carol says the name “Dancing Stones,” is “A metaphor for life’s journey,” that it’s important to “Remember your strengths and keep your balance for the challenges of life. And to remember to smile a lot.”

The three women look forward to another year of helping returning, new, and future clients maintain healthy lifestyles and rejuvenate. Meet and greet the women behind Sage Serenity Studio on Friday, March 29 from 1-3pm. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided and be sure to enter the raffle for pilates, pedicure, and massage services. Sage Serenity Studio is located at 317 E 16th Street between Bennett and Silver Heights Boulevard in Silver City.
